The Church of Our Saviour is one of Copenhagen’s most famous landmarks and a must-visit if you enjoy history, architecture, and incredible city views. The church itself is beautiful, with a striking baroque interior, but the real highlight is climbing the tower. The spiral staircase on the outside of the spire takes you up high above the city, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning, stretching across Copenhagen and even out to Sweden on a clear day.

The climb is steep and narrow in places, and the final stretch on the outside can feel a bit dizzying if you’re not great with heights, but the reward at the top is well worth the effort. It’s best to go on a clear day to really appreciate the panoramic view. The tower can get busy, so going early or outside peak hours makes the experience more enjoyable.

Overall, the Church of Our Saviour is an unforgettable stop in Copenhagen. Whether for its history, its unique architecture, or the breathtaking views from the tower, it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Church of Our Saviour is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also offers one of the very best views of Copenhagen. The spiral staircase up the tower is a little challenging, but that only makes reaching the top more rewarding. Standing outside on the winding staircase with the city right beneath your feet feels magical. You can see all of Copenhagen – from the canals and colorful houses to the modern skyline. Totally worth the climb, and a must-visit spot if you want a unique perspective of the city!
